Clay Aiken To Help People Who Are Not As Smrt As He Is

September 7, 2006 by Wendy Boswell

Let’s get one thing straight: I don’t like Clay Aiken’s voice, but he seems like a nice guy. I thought he was kind of dorky on American Idol but then so is everyone else. Apparently, George Bush REALLY likes the Clay:

Clay Aiken is in line to be named to the President’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities, the White House said Wednesday.

Aiken, a Raleigh native who gained fame as a runner-up on "American Idol," once worked as a YMCA counselor.

The committee’s Web site said it advises the president on issues pertaining to people with intellectual disabilities. The committee was established in 1961 by President John Kennedy as the President’s Panel on Mental Retardation.

OOoohhh, he "once worked as a YMCA counselor? Wow, the YMCA workers in the one near me all seem a few sandwiches short of a picnic.

he has his degree in this field
he works for the u.n. for children
has his own charity for children for disabilities
he is bright, a great speaker and has no misconceptions about himself
besides all that he is a great speaker

The key words in your blurb are “once worked”. “Once” is a nice word that means “in the past”. “Currently” (a nice word that means “now”) Aiken is a UNICEF Ambassador for Education and the CEO of his foundation. The Bubel-Aiken Foundation works toward the inclusion of individuals with special needs into everyday life. He is very qualified to serve on this committee and they are lucky to have him. I’m sorry you let an AP press-release make you look so silly.

Folks – it’s a gossip blog. It’s meant to be silly. How do you walk around with your panties in such a bunch? Must be difficult.
