Rosie O’Donnell Goes Off On Elisabeth Hasselbeck for Suggesting Teachers Carry Guns

In this video, Rosie basically rips Lizzie a new one after she…wait for it….suggests that teachers carry weapons in order to protect themselves. Watch it:

WOW I couldn’t agree more with you. I do find it interesting that the shooter at Appalachian Law School put down his arms when he saw others armed.
Back to the teachers carrying guns (like the Israelis). Might not be a bad idea.

Elizabeth is so far removed from the reality of everyday people that she can afford to take the stance that she does. Would she advocate this war if her husband was sent overseas? I find it puzzling that a person so committed to their Christian faith can advocate the use of weapons and a war that has seen so much death on both sides.
Christianity? Why do people confuse being a Christian with being a pacifist and a victim? Obviously, they haven’t read their Bible. For a few pointers:

For grins and giggles, find the verse where Jesus told his followers that if they lacked a sword, they should sell their cloaks and obtain one.
I suggest the New International or New Revised Standard versions since they are in modern English; and the Stuart dynasty meanings of some words in the King James are far from their modern definitions.
I suspect that Rosie, with her multi-million dollar house and armed bodyguards, is far more removed from the realities of everyday life than Elizabeth.
What I’d like to see is keep the current cast, add Ann Coulter and bring Rosie back.
Now that would be a show I’d really want to watch. I suspect that Rosie wouldn’t be interested; like most bullies she runs in fear and attempts to manipulate others to “save her” when her victims decline to be victimized. If she’s afraid to face Elizabeth, can you imagine her reaction if it were suggested she debate Ann?
On the other hand, drawing mustaches on posters of Ann wouldn’t disturb Ann in the least. She’s dealt with intelligent opponents in the past; so the best offerings of the Jr. High School girls’ restroom wouldn’t upset her in the least.

Folks, this is really a hoot to read! Unfortunately I can’t watch the view over here in Europe and am really glad to see the youtube clips, etc and read all the lovely reviews!
In March this year got to see the program during a visit and was quite impressed with it after having grown completely bored of it back in 2001. Just hearing about the squabbling with Rosie and this person and Rosie and that person, it was a surprise to see that she has some restraint.
About the cast: have to say that EH needs to take a chill pill on occasion. She has controverial view points and a drill-like, unrelenting lack of sensitivity to people who don’t agree with her. Joy at least tries to be humorous and Rosie, with her own controverial point of view, does try to back down (re-watch the tape) but EH won’t let it happen.
Finally, these people get paid to be in the public spotlight and to TALK. Boo hoo if they get their feelings hurt once in a while. Happens to all of us and most of us don’t have the money matress they have to land on!!
I am unimpressed that Rosie is walking away early… taking her ball and going home. They are professionals in ‘TALK’ period and should act like it.
It is a good lesson to visit the U.S. from outside to see in a more even handed way how we look without the media bias, left or right.
Bush screwed up. He has a history of screwing up. He is lucky to have such a graceful mother, smart father and one or two left in his cabinet and personal life getting him in line now.
One note. What is with the mean spirited comments like EH should kill herself, etc? No place for those.
I’m not really taking sides, but for real , teachers do carry guns. when dealing with teenage violence against adults. So that should not even be an issue. I know many school teachers who carry guns. With the fear of being robbed or sexually attacked. Like that time, when a bunch of 15 year old boys in Atlanta Geo. many years ago, raped a school teacher in the bathroom, remember?And guess what? Every got d–! one of them was equited. Because in the Judges eyes an minor cannot rape an adult. They can charge him as an adult for Murder. Then why can’t they do it for Rape. Thats why people are prepared to defend themselves. Because of the System. The System doesn’t care. Children get away with too much when it comes down to Rape against an adult. Then they’ll revert the charges, and charge it against the adult. See what I’m saying? Adults ain’t tolerating that. Or being attacked or robbed in the parking lot after school, by a bunch of children who thinks they are all that!
I know it might sound a little awkward for an school teacher who is trained to help and educate children, and talking and laughing and enjoying conversations with them; but children do attack teachers, for all kinds of reasons. And with some adults it just ain’t gonna be.

As for Elizabeth’s stance on the war, she only says she supports our troops no matter where in the world they are. I for one also support our troops too! Let the Islamic radicals take over and see how many homosexuals they let live. I don’t believe without the weapons of our father’s there would not be the America we have today.

Being told by someone who can’t spell and seems unaware of the existence of grammar that they think a third party is intelligent is sort of like when I would receive a badly written resume from a job applicant. Unimpressed, to put it mildly.
And I wonder if Baba Wawa would consider putting Ann and Rosie on? Maybe if they gave Rosie special permission to draw mustaches on all the studio posters of Ann? And a big box of chocolates every studio day?
