Clay Aiken in a dress!

Really, I’m not sure what to say about t his outfit. Ummmm…it’s a good color? He looks like Obi-Wan Kenobi? He can grow some nice whiskers?
“As a former teacher I recognize that spark of hope and excitement all children possess when given the opportunity to learn,” said Clay, who spent five days traveling between Kabul and Bamyan in the central region of Afghanistan. “Rebuilding schools, training teachers, providing essential supplies and teaching materials are just some of the advances UNICEF and its partners have made to keep that hope flourishing.”
Does anyone really talk like that? Use words like "flourishing"? I don’t think so.

My brother got back from Afghanistan 3 months ago . What he suggests that you say about the outfit and the beard is that Clay is honoring local customs or you might say that he is blending in with what the Afghan men wear so that he is less likely to be shot in that dangerous territory . I don’t much care what he looks like or how he speaks as long as he is working to better the lives if disadvantaged kids around the world . Good going , Mr A .

Shame on you for taking a cheap shot with the headline “Clay Aiken in a Dress” when, in fact, he is in a war-torn country trying to help the children there by raising money to maintain their education in the midst of all the plight. No doubt he was given that outfit by the people there as a welcoming gift and as a matter of respect he wore it. Leave it to you to ridicule him for that. Just pathetic.

Why don’t you take some of your spare time, and try to educate yourself, so you stop coming across as a stupid twit.
Ridiculing someone who is over in a very dangerous country, trying to bring awareness of the plight of the children, is pretty low of you.
Life is not about taking the easy way out all the time, and cheap shotting another human being, who is risking his life to try and help mankind.
Clay shows his respect, while you are showing your ignorance.
Shame on you, and condolences to your parents.

I will also echo the sentiments of SHAME ON YOU! Clay Aiken is doing what he set out to do when he first appeared on American Idol…make a difference in the world and make it better for the world’s children! It looks to me that he is doing just that! Clay Aiken is a fantastic human being and marvelous singer who is using his celebrity for the good of all mankind. Yep…I agree Baltimore..get a life Wendy! :o(

My brother served 16 months in Afghanistan, and he expressed how bad things truely are over there. If you aren’t willing to dress as they do your chances of being killed are very high. It’s like everyone there has a bulls eye painted on their forhead. My brother said it is worse there than in iraq, which he did two terms there. He worked in the field, and yes he had to grow a beard, and wear the the clothes offered to him to keep him safe…..shame on you for making fun of what I can bet any amount of money you do’t have the guts to do….One question for you would you be willing to hold in your arms a dying child like Clay has done many times??????
