More words of wisdom from Scarlett Johansson
Scarlett Johansson is like the smartest person in the world, yall. I mean, everytime she opens her mouth a hundred Nobel Prize winners stop what they’re doing all over the world and wait in breathless anticipation.
Here’s the latest:
She says, "People are still so racist. It amazed me - all over the world, not just here. I wonder if people are born with prejudice and we have to overcome it. Or is it, we’re born without it and it’s a learned thing?"
Yes, Scarlett - there is a prejudice gene. It’s in your freaking DNA. Everyone knows that *rolls eyes*.

I think it’s an interesting concept. And I think you’re taking it way out of context.
Instinct is not something learned. For as far back as humanity goes, (as pointed out by her statement that it is ’still’ an ongoing problem) races have been struggling to accept one another. And thus far, they have largely failed to do so. Though, it seems that it SHOULDN’T be such a foriegn concept. So you have to ask yourself, are people just ‘freakin born this way and have to fight it off? Not literally, but then, perhaps more literally than we might think…. Instincts are passed down through generations, and become sharper with each passing generation. It’s the way of evolution. The idea that a person can be born with an instinctual inclination to feel slight to extreme racism toward another race that their anscestors held supreme hate for isn’t so far fetched. I am in the very least sure that Scarlett isn’t the first person to explore this concept, and as the old adage goes, no question is stupid other than the one not asked. Or something like that.
