Joan and Melissa Rivers – FIRED!

April 18, 2007 by Wendy Boswell

Thank you 7 pounds 2 oz. Baby Jesus!

Joan and Melissa Rivers are out. Lisa Rinna is in.

The Dancing With the Stars actress steps in as TV Guide Channel’s red carpet maven starting with the Emmys in September, the network announced Wednesday. "It’s my dream job," says Rinna, who promises a solid mix of fashion know-how and inquiring celebrity question.
Rinna replaces the mother-daughter Rivers team, a TV Guide staple since 2005, after their contract was not renewed last month. TV Guide Channel president Ryan O’Hara says that the network decided to "go in a different direction" and that there are no hard feelings. "We have an incredible appreciation for what they have done for our network in three years. Everyone in the red carpet business owes a huge amount of gratitude to them." But Joan Rivers isn’t quite as upbeat about the change. "I will tell you my true feelings and experiences as soon as we finalize our new deal," she said in a statement.

I’m sure that Joan and Melissa will just drown their sorrows in a bucket of Botox. Don’t worry, they’ll be fine! After all, Halloween’s coming up and there are many, MANY haunted houses in need of some seriously frightening zombies!

  1. [...] Well good for you! But you did forget one thing. This isn’t the first time you’ve been thrown out for being a bitch. [...]
