One of the Olsen twins actually got an acting job?
Uh, I would tell you which one is which, but I don’t really know. They both look like they need some kind of a Vitamin D infusion, I’ll say that.
It’s a far cry from the wholesome family values of Full House, but Mary-Kate Olsen is heading back to television, this time, on the more mature show Weeds.
"Weeds isn’t your eight o’clock family fare," series creator and executive producer Jenji Kohan was quoted as saying by The Hollywood Reporter. "It’s an adult show with adult subject matter, and we’re confident Mary-Kate is right for the role. She came in and read with Hunter and was absolutely charming and real and seemed like a great fit. Audiences have seen only one side of Mary-Kate, but here we’ll see her in a whole new light."
Olsen will reportedly play uber Christian chick Tara who becomes the new love interest of Silas (Hunter Parrish), the main character Nancy’s (Mary-Louise Parker) son. The 20-year-old is supposedly set to appear in 10 of the 15 season three episodes.
"I’m thrilled to be a part of the show," Olsen said. "It’s really an honour to be a part of such a talented group of actors and writers."
Oh! I’m so happy for you, One of the Olsen Twins! Gosh! Gee whilkilers! Golly! And you’re actually going to, you know, ACT on this? Without the aid of Uncle Jesse and his crack team of makeup groupies? You are a brave, brave soul.
