Kathy Griffin gets owned by Barbara Walters on The View
In a vain attempt to avoid A)work B)cleaning the kitchen C)doing anything productive, I decided to sit down and watch a few minutes of The View this morning (I actually flipped between that and Jerry Springer).
Kathy Griffin was guest-hosting this morning, and basically, Barbara Walters ripped her a new one. Here’s the conversation:
Kathy: We’re going to have a big dinner party over at Barbara’s house! Guffaw, guffaw, guffaw.
Barbara: I’m going to have a big dinner party, but Kathy - you will NEVER be invited to ANY dinner party that I throw.
>>cue embarrassed laughter<<
The rest of the segment, Kathy was very subdued and she almost looked like she was going to cry. I *almost* felt bad for her, but I stuffed that feeling of pity down with another bowl of Wheaties.

I completely agree. I give Kathy credit, I would have swung back. She not only said that about the dinner party, but just before that she called Kathy a a bigot. That’s the second person Barbara’s called a bigot in a month (i.e. Rosie’s mother-in-law). Barbara’s incessant need to climb the social latter of NYC hurts the show. She is constantly trying to defend people who don’t deserve it (the Hiltons) because she wants to be their friends and have THEM over for dinner. Barbara is a joke.

I wonder if anyone else heard Kathy Griffin’s remark about Condalisa Rice “She just does what the whiteman tells her to do”. That was when Barbara said “that was a very bigot remark”. I was shocked when I heard that insult to Ms. Rice. I think Barbara was trying to cover her own butt when she heard the remark.

yes barbara walters is way to conservative in terms of voicing her opinion for this show. when she is on the view is a totally different program. when she wasnt there and rosie was on …..boom up the ratings went. i guarantee u if kathy was co hosting without barbara there…..kathy would show everyone who the best one is. kathy is auditioning for the show so of course she didnt swing back. she is sucking butt right now and when she gets the gig permanently baby u just watch out. she’s gonna smack down that elizabeth just like rosie did. that pathetic little republican blonde sell out!

Barbara Walters is just a freak, there is no person in the public eye who is less entertaining. I hope some sort of fungal infection that won’t die goes to live in her vagina and anus and I hope it itches.
