Rupert Everett is against homosexual men adoption
Rupert Everett, himself a gay man, speaks out against homosexual adoption:
Rupert Everett says he is against gay men adopting.
The openly homosexual actor doesn’t believe two men would make good parents, because he believes it could have negative implications for the child.
He is quoted by Britain’s Daily Express newspaper as saying: “Oh God, I could never do that to a child. Can you imagine what it would be like, having your two dads coming to school speech days? And hearing those awful queeny rows while you are trying to get to sleep?”
The 48-year-old star recently revealed how he had ruled out ever having children - because he would be a terrible father.
He even claimed he is not a good godfather because he always forgets to buy his godchildren presents.
He said: “I love kids. I have 10 godchildren. But I’m not a very good godfather. I’m not good at remembering birthdays. I don’t believe in Father’s Day or Mother’s Day. I don’t even like Christmas - I find it all a bit sick. People are emotionally tricked into spending so much money.
“So I don’t think I will adopt. I don’t think it’s for me”.
At least he realizes that he wouldn’t be a good father. There’s so many celebrities jumping onto the adoption wagon lately (*cough* Madonna *cough*) that it’s somewhat refreshing.
