So DMX is a dog fighting dumbass too?
Another day, another dumbass celebrity caught with a whole pack of fighting dogs. Listen to this:
KPNX television in Phoenix is reporting that the Maricopa County, Ariz. Sheriff’s Department raided rapper DMX’s home this morning in Cave Creek and removed 12 distressed pit bulls.
DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was not home at the time. News 12 is reporting a large cache of weapons was found in the home as well.
DMX has a long rap sheet (pun intended), which includes a guilty plea to animal cruelty charges in 2002.
UPDATE: According to DMX’s attorney Murray Richman, it was all about the blazing Arizona heat. Richman claims that someone reported the dogs were at risk because of the extreme temperatures, telling TMZ “Earl has a caretaker, who obviously wasn’t taking care. Earl loves those dogs.” Richman added that DMX isn’t even in Az and hasn’t been there for several months because he’s off working on a project.
Okay, so first of all, he had a caretaker? Let’s ask Ving Rhames’ caretaker how he feels about taking care of a pack of rabid pit bulls. Oh wait - we can’t ask him! Because the motherfuccker is DEAD!
Secondly, I think that a guy who had a snarling pit bull prominently featured on his hit album (see above) and has been charged with animal cruelty charges in the past is probably is not going to be too worried about A)leaving them out in the heat and B)giving a flying rat’s ass about them AT ALL, mmkay?
Gosh, I can’t wait to see what Jamie Foxx is going to say about THIS one. Did DMX forget to read the “black guy’s manual” as well?

DMX’s been fighting dogs since way before Vick got involved. Hell, DMX even came out with an album named Grand Champion. And then he plead guilty in 02 for animal cruelty related to this. So yeah, hearing about DMX in trouble with dog fighting, it’s more like a “Damn, AGAIN?!” than “OMG ANOTHER CELEB FIGHTIN DOGS O NOES!!!”

In the world of Dog fighting It’s sad that money has to get involed for us to notice this activity thats been going on for more then a few years. We have all seen reports about fighting dogs killing children and attacking people in the street. But I guess the cases were not high profile enough to get the media attention. The media only cases about money! The bigger the name the better the news is to them. This is very sad. I had to kill pit that ran in my back yard after my son and this was a pit that was used for fighting. Did it get any attention … HELL NO. Several months later the same person but a different dog got lose and attached another kid. This is about the juditial system making its money off a celebrities name. So I saay FUK the media! I don’t agree with the dog fighting at all … but lets see …. the mexicans are having cock-fights every damn where …. the asians are fighting horses, YES HORSES! But there is no money to gain it focusing on that. I’m 40 yrs old and when I was younger and we saw a dog tied up that looked hungry or what ever we bought it water. Today people look the other way until its big news. So what you got a rich celeb. in court or even jail … but then when the news part dems what happens? NOTHING.

Personally I think that anyone who abuses a poor helpless creature is a P.O.F.S and a coward and pretty much deserves whatever may come his way. The evidence says it all. I am completely disgusted by Vick and DMX. Yes, they are celebrities, which brings these issues more public…but it does not excuse them or anyone else from committing these horrible crimes! I hope they all burn in hell. And for all you freaks that think this is race related…animals lovers DO NOT CARE about the color of your skin! We care about the health and welfare of animals. This dumb-ass left his “beloved” animals in the care of no one?? I leave my animals (dogs & cats) in the care of a pet-sitter when I am out of town and I call everyday to make sure they are doing well. And DMX had no idea what was going on in his OWN HOME???????? You killed a pit? Why didn’t you just kill the owner? It is not the dog’s fault…it happend because of the way the dog was raised. Did you have fences around your property? Why was your child alone? If one of your children attacked someone, would it be ok for your child to be killed?
If there was a dangerous animal in your neighborhood, you should have called the appropriate authorities long before the “attack”. Working with abused and neglected dogs and cats, I know that there is hope for these animals. I own several myself. If you would actually pay attention to your surroundings, you would recognize a vicious dog and take care of your family by calling a no-kill shelter before murdering an innocent animal. You cannot blame the animal, blame the owner that raised them!!!

Poor Vick. I hear he wrote a 5 page letter to get his sentence reduced. He described himself as soft spoken and caring? CARING??? What kind of a caring individual would train animals to kill? NONE! A caring person would not shoot, drowned or hang animals. Serial killers start off torturing and killing animals…not someone “caring”. Vick also expressed concern for his son who is being picked on in school because of Vick’s behavior. Well, who does he have to blame?? HIMSELF! BOO HOO…poor dumb ass! He was not concerned about his son or family when he was killing dogs!!!! He’s a big wuss with apparent inadequacies…which he takes out on defenseless animals! Well this is the new year and sorry i’m so late into this discussion. First of all no one has the right to mistreat an animal, I don’t like people fighting dogs, cocks etc. But the truth of the matter is, we society see homeless and starving pets on the street, most of the time people we turn away at that because we just don’t care, I see this always happening; People being cruel to animals, fighting animals not taking good care of them, not feeding them. Normally no one cares untill it is a big name thats doing it, I don’t understand what society has come to this makes me sick. Now this being said what about the people that Hunt our Forest Animals, all the animals that are near extinction, why aren’t they on the news, why aren’t they going to jail? No what we give them, is a license to do it…

Its pretty shocking that they figured this out so late. All of DMX’s songs are about dogs in some way and there are dogs in his videos, specifically pit bulls. how much more obvious can you get?
i hear a lot of people say that only black people are accused of this stuff, or that when a black person is accused, it’s “just because he’s black.” suck it up, people. this isn’t a race issue, its about people being sadistic and abusing dogs in an entirely intentional, carefully planned out way. Even if the whole thing is sort of racist, people should really focus on the issue at hand.
Also, everyone’s talking about how the media only cares about celebs doing dogfighting. Of course they do! If some random no-name guy came up on the news and the media made a big deal about it, no one would really care. We already know dogfighting happens and if a famous name isn’t attached, it’s nothing new. That’s just the way it is.

im obviously late to comment on this but, even though he has charges of cruelty, does not mean he fought his dogs. hes been known as a dog lover, pitbulls specifically. he wouldn’t be stupid enough to name his album grand champ with a pitbull on the cover affiliating with dog fighting. dog fighting is suppose to be under a very strict radar. he might have just got to caught up in his acting & music career, and just lost time for the dogs. he had so many because he has so much money and can afford these beautiful dogs. the dogs might have been in un acceptable condition but i dont think they were all torn up like they were fought in rings and stuff. dogs who are brought into rings face 2 options, victory or death. no questions asked. ive seen a video of dog fights and its a no brainer to see if your dogs were in rings or not. me being a dog/pitbull person myself would probably have multiple dogs with there own personal kennel if i had more then enough money to my exposal. with that said, even some of the wealthiest people can still go beyond there means and its a mistake. move on

I own bulldogs, infact DMX and I have some of the same blood, he got a pup a few years ago off Ho and Coolio breeding. When you pay someone to take care of your dogs, you need to stay in touch. I use to live in Phoenix, and always thought it was entirely too hot for dogs, as well as humans, that’s why I moved back to a cooler climate. These dogs weren’t bred to be man aggressive and regardless to what the media says, most pit bull attacks are not by pit bulls. There is no such thing as a 90lb pit bull. They range in size from 20 to 65 lbs. Dog aggressive yes, man aggressive no.
