Magician David Copperfield not having a good day - accused of rape AND the Feds take millions
So this has not been a good Friday for famed magician David Copperfield. Not only has been accused of rape from a Seattle-area woman, the FBI is also raiding warehouses owned by Copperfield and have taken millions of dollars. Here’s the scoop:
FBI agents have seized nearly $2 million in cash from a Las Vegas warehouse owned by illusionist David Copperfield, local media reports said on Thursday.
The agents also took a computer hard drive and a memory chip from a digital camera system during Wednesday’s late-night operation. The reports said the raid stems from an investigation in Seattle.

Yep. And if that’s not enough, he’s also being accused of rape:
The reason all those FBI agents are swarming all over David Copperfield’s warehouse in Las Vegas is that he has been accused of rape by a Seattle woman. She alleges that David Copperfield raped her while both were in the Bahamas, but didn’t report it until she got back to Seattle. Because of that, Seattle police called in the FBI.
Rape is a serious crime, but I don’t think it’s necessarily in the FBI’s jurisdiction, is it? Unless it was statutory rape (underage). Any legal peeps out there that want to weigh in on this?
