Since California struck down the restrictions on gay marriage this past week, more and more celebs are marrying their long-term partners (Ellen and Portia were the first). Now Star Trek alum George Takei has just announced he’s going to marry his longtime partner Brad Altman (pictured). Here’s what George had to say:
“Our California dream is reality,” he wrote. “At long last, the barrier to full marriage rights for same-sex couples has been torn down.”

I’m so happy for George! I read his bio way back when, which of course couldn’t mention he was gay. He’s a good guy. I’m personally very conservative, but I have only happiness for long term gay couples who want to marry. Best wishes, George and Brad! Live long and prosper!
