Bridget Moynahan talks about being a single mom

You remember a while back when Patriots quarterback Tom Brady dumped his pregnant girlfriend Bridget Moynahan for Gisele Bundchen, right? Well, Bridget has moved on with her life and is talking about being a single mom. Here’s what she had to say:

“When you’re suddenly pregnant and no one is standing by your side, even if you’re in your 30s, it’s a hard conversation. I’m a traditional girl, and I believe in marriage, and I just always thought that’s the way I’d be doing this,” she says. “For a moment, it was hard for me to accept that this was the way I was going to have a family.”

She gave birth to John – whom she gave her last name – last August. “I walk in and just started sobbing,” she says of coming home alone with her son. “All of a sudden, you have this newborn you have no training for. It’s frightening.”

I say more power to her, unless she’s going to talk about how amazing single motherhood is for the next 452 years. Otherwise, we’re good. I guess Tom sees the kid and is involved in his life; I would imagine that’s a pretty awkward situation to be in for her. Personally? I would train the kid to fill his pants everytime Daddy was coming over, just, you know, to teach him.
