Angelina Jolie reportedly in labor

A French newspaper reported this morning that Angelina Jolie
Nadine Bauer, a spokeswoman for the Lenval Hospital in Nice, says Jolie is fine and that everything is going well. She said the actress’ admittance to the hospital’s maternity wing had been planned for some time.
Bauer said Jolie will almost certainly remain in the hospital until she gives birth. She said Jolie was admitted so she could be kept under surveillance and not to give birth immediately.

Everything I’ve read (admittedly not much) indicates that her admission to the hospital in Nice was planned long ago. Having lived in Nice and even worked in hospitals (maternity wards, specifically!) there, I know it’s not standard practice for a woman to ’schedule’ admission to give birth, nor are C-Sections or planned inductions common. But she’s Angelina Jolie, so my guess is that she’s scheduled a C-section. Women in France stay in the hospital for around a week after giving birth…longer if by C-Section. God knows she’ll need that down-time with her pre-existing army of kids. I’m just glad it’s not happening in Namibia this time…
