Denise Richards has accused Charlie Sheen of molesting their daughters

Wow. Now this is low. Apparently, the big emergency hearing that Denise Richards called last week was to accuse Charlie Sheen, her ex-husband, of molesting their daughters. The judge threw out the accusations as baseless, and Charlie Sheen is now going to sue for full custody of the girls, attempting to prove once and for all that their mother is nuts with a capital N.
Most people close to the situation have the opinion that she was only doing this to bump ratings on her crappy new reality show – in fact, she even invited reporters into the judge’s chambers, which is completely NOT okay. In all of this mess, the biggest concern is the kids, obviously….if their mom was telling the truth, then good for her for trying to protect them. If she was making up stuff to smear Charlie with, than she is the lowest of the low and the kids need to be protected from her.

Being a mother of 3, I would not want all my children’s friends knowing that their Dad molested them. If you love your kids, you protect them from everything. You do not make a circus out of it. How hurtful for those little girls. And why would she solicit another child from him if this were true.

I totally agree with you Shilo. Denise is really one sicko to pull this stunt and try to make it as public as possible. She just wants publicity. The only thing she’s really famous for is being married to Charlie at one time in her life. I’m not sure why she even has fully custody of those poor girls.
One out of every three-five children will be sexually abused by the age of 18; half by their biological fathers. The statisics are based on scientific evidence in the empirical literature. There is not always physical evidence of molestation for obvious reasons, but often psychological evidence revealed in “acting out” behaviors and a variety of other FORENSIC tests that DO NOT involve leading questions. Until you any of you at this board are FORENSIC experts, you have no expertise to make any comments. There is a myth about protective mothers and parents, that they are somehow coming from a vengeful place. The majority of them are not when you research the empirical literature. Since I am not an expert in this case, it is not for me to say whether or not Sheen abused his daughters; however, the empirical literature and his behaviors in general (e.g., sex addictions, rage, narcissism, etc.) would compel me to scrutizine this case quite closely if I were an expert or judge presiding over the case, especially if the children are exhibiting symptoms that denote sexual abuse (e.g., sexually acting out, post-traumatic-stress-disorder, night-mares, inconsollable tantrums, etc.). Dispel the myth of the “woman scorned” because most mothers are not coming from a vengeful place; although a small percentage are. Further, “inconclusive” or “unsubstantiated” does not mean the abuse did not occur. It simply means there wasn’t enough PHYSICAL evidence, such as torn tissue, to hold up in trial to convict the perp. or to mandate supervised visitation. Also, perhaps it isn’t Denise that went public with the info., but the Papparazzi.
The accusations should be fully investigated but it is a shame that the girls are being used by whoever is leaking these stories. They’re going to need professional help when they older.

Those stats you mention are complete bunk. It has been established that many cases of child sexual abuse were ideas implanted in the child’s mind by clinical psychologists as caught on video. They repeatedly suggest the inappropriate actions until the child repeats it with conviction. I am not denying abundant true molestations, just that you are completely wrong in your estimates.
