Portia de Rossi will become Portia DeGeneres

Portia de Rossi, who already has an impossibly soap star-ish name, has decided that she will go with Ellen’s last name now. Well, at least when she signs checks, right? Here’s the details:
A source told Star that Portia and Ellen ordered stationary with “Mrs. and Mrs. DeGeneres” printed on it. The source went on to say: “Ellen and Portia used it to write thank-you notes to the 19 friends and family who attended.”
Aww, how cute! I would also like to change my name to Degeneres, if it means I get some of that moolah. Do you think that might work? I’m gonna try it.
Degeneres is the father’s sir name, let the next generation know their root .
