Bristol Palin vs. Jamie Lynn Spears

Lynne Spears has found yet another thing to whine about and (hopefully) encourage people to feel sorry for her and draw strength from her awesome parenting skillz. She thinks that Bristol Palin, the 17 year old pregnant daughter of Sarah Palin, was lauded in the press as making an “admirable choice” while her daughter, Jamie Lynn, was basically crucified. Here’s what she has to say:

It’s a totally different reaction. It’s as if [Sarah Palin] became celebrated. I mean, the mother, Palin, was celebrated for this. Every woman in the world has applauded her strength and her convictions and poor little old Jamie Lynn–you saw how she was crucified. Everybody did, firsthand … I just feel like it’s been a very hypocritical situation.

Um, hello? What news has Lynne Spears been watching for this coverage – Entertainment Tonight? If she had been watching the REAL news, you know, the one with big grownup words like “recession” and “election” and “Iraq”, she would have noticed that Bristol Palin and mom Sarah have been dragged through the mud for this lapse of judgement. Give us a break, Lynne. No amount of whining on your part will EVER convince us that you are not a sneaky, creepy, overwhelmingly ambitious stage mother who has managed to ruin her childrens’ lives.
