CONTEST: Win “The Godfather, The Coppola Restoration Collection” on DVD!
See this?

That, my friends, is the brand spankin’, just released, DVD set of The Godfather, The Coppola Restoration Collection. And you can win it! First, let’s hear exactly what you’re going to get:
More than three decades after they won the Academy Award for Best Picture, director Francis Ford Coppola’s classic films The Godfather and The Godfather, Part II will once again be enjoyed by audiences as they originally were meant to be seen, thanks to a meticulous restoration by Paramount Pictures, overseen by Coppola himself. On September 23, 2008, both fully restored films will debut on DVD and Blu-ray, along with a newly remastered version of The Godfather Part III, to be included as part of The Godfather, The Coppola Restoration Collection. All three films will be available individually or in a five-DVD collection or four-disc Blu-ray collection, which are loaded with a host of all-new special features.
The new special features created by Kim Aubry, founder of Zoetrope Aubry Productions, explores the complexities of the restoration process and provides new insights and perspectives about how the film almost didn’t come to pass as we know it. The Masterpiece That Almost Wasn’t relates the unlikely events, intrigue, allegiances and luck that put together the unknown director with the unwanted cast and contains interviews with most of the living players and many of the films’ admirers. Other featurettes include “when the shooting stopped”, and Godfather World, which take a look at The Godfather’s influence on popular culture today. Each film includes a commentary by Coppola.
Pretty cool, no? Here’s what you need to do in order to win:
Leave a comment with your favorite Godfather movie moment OR quote.
Rules:
- One entry per person.
- Please leave your email in the space provided.
- Contest starts….now, and ends next Friday, October 3, at 12 midnight.
That’s it! Have fun, and good luck!

My favorite moment is in The Godfather part II when after the hearing, Michael’s wife is telling him she’s leaving and taking the kids. Michael says he would do everything in his power to prevent that! Like she doesn’t know the power he has and the total love he has for his children.

Godfather I is my favorite, by far. As for a saying, thats harder, the horses head was unforgettable, make him an offer he cant refuse.

When I first saw these movies, the scene with the horse’s head in the bed was exceedingly shocking (and my favorite), although nowadays in the age of gore this may not have the same effect!

Sorry, I can’t pick JUST one! There is the one where the Godfather says we’ll make him an offer he can’t refuse, then we see the horses head. There is the one where Michael tells the henchman that Fredo stays alive until their mom is alive. There is the scene where Sonny is murdered. I love the one where the Godfather says, ‘Lucca Brazzi sleeps with the fishes…”
