Sharon Osbourne says she is “sorry” for insulting Susan Boyle

Sharon Osbourne, never known for her tact, good taste, or human decency, is offering an apology of sorts to breakout star Susan Boyle, whom she called a “hairy asshole” on Sirius radio last week. Here’s what she posted on her Facebook wall after the backlash got to be a bit too much to handle:

“Susan Boyle is a lovely gracious woman and I took advantage of that by poking fun at her. I would never want to be responsible for hurting Susan and I must apologize for getting a cheap laugh at her expense.”

Yeah, I wonder if Sharon has taken a good look at her own family lately? Considering that the Osbourne family is generally regarded as a joke, I’m not sure Sharon Osbourne is in any position to judge anyone. Here’s the original video of Sharon being insulting:
