Apparently, Mel B got secretly hitched to her boyfriend of what, like three weeks? Four weeks? in June. This woman has quite the track record. Here she is talking about her marriage:

Mel B has spoken out about her decision to wed film producer Stephen Belafonte in a private Las Vegas ceremony two months ago.

The couple were married at the Special Memory Wedding Chapel by Reverend Marie Stapleton. She said: “They paid the $59 on his Visa card. They made no big deal of it. I don’t think she has a wedding dress.”

The Spice Girl told The Sun: “Stephen and I have known each other for seven years. We wanted to make a commitment.

“We wanted it to be private and have a big wedding with our families later in the year.”

She knew him for seven years? Well, okay then. That’s a lot better than I thought.

Ellen Pompeo, star of Grey’s Anatomy (one of those shows I keep intending to watch but just never get around to) recently spoke out on today’s trashy young celebrities:

Ellen Pompeo says Hollywood socialites “who are rich and famous for nothing” set a bad example.

“I just think the media should take this country in a different direction,” the 37-year-old actress tells the new issue of Los Angeles Confidential Magazine, on newsstands Aug. 15.

“We’re so focused on the wrong things. We’re teaching young girls that this is what they should be focusing on: rich and famous girls who are rich and famous for nothing.”

In an apparent reference to coverage of Paris Hilton and her ilk, Pompeo says: “What are we doing to this younger generation? It’s not very responsible.”

She’s right, you know – there are a lot of chickie poos that think that Paris, Lindsay, etc. are da bomb and are trying to copy them. They’ll copy them right down to the STD’s and overdoses!

Talk about pregnant pauses: An American Idol contestant’s audition was interrupted Monday when she went into labor, an Idol first.

Antoria Gillon, 20, of Dallas, wasn’t due to give birth until today, so she thought it was safe to wait in line outside Texas Stadium in Irving starting at 2:30 a.m. Monday for her first shot at the singing competition.

Just as she finally had her chance after waiting for 16 hours, “I felt something over my body when I was walking,” she said in a telephone interview from her hospital bed Wednesday after giving birth to a healthy boy — her second — Tuesday morning.

“I knew right away what it was. I was singing, and the judge stopped and asked if I was OK, and I said, ‘I just want to finish my song.’ ”

Just so you know, she did get the thumbs up to go to the next round, but was it just because she was in labor or was it because she was a good singer? I guess we’ll find out.

The Chicago actress does not want seven-year-old Dylan and four-year-old Carys to watch Michael Douglas in some of his films.

She told Tatler magazine: “They have seen their grandfather Kirk Douglas in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, so they know about him.

“They have seen me in The Mask of Zorro and animated movie Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas – they are still rather charmingly convinced I cut my hair for that one!

“But they are so young, so I won’t let them see Michael’s films with Glenn Close (Fatal Attraction) or Sharon Stone (Basic Instinct) just yet!”

Oh, so kids don’t want to see stuff like this?

Amy Winehouse’s strict diet of eating nothing and drinking EVERYTHING has finally caught up with her:

Winehouse’s rep confirms to TMZ that the tatted up singer was taken to a London hospital and treated for “exhaustion.” The rep says Winehouse has since been discharged and is currently at home. She has been ordered to take “complete rest.”

When asked what prompted this, the rep would only say “it came about quickly.” No other details were available.

Complete rest from…..what? Alcohol? Because that would make sense.
