Another baby for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt - this time from India?
April 1, 2009 by Wendy Boswell
Let’s all just sit down and admit to ourselves that we want to be adopted by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. There’s no shame in that. Nobody’s going to judge you. Just get it out, it’ll feel good. Ahhhhh…..relief.
Now that we’ve got that monkey at least temporarily off our collective backs, guess what? The First Couple of Hollywood is reportedly going to adopt another baby, and surprisingly enough IT’S NOT ME. I guess Santa and Jesus must have misheard me or something? Anyway, Angie met one of the child stars of “Slumdog Millionaire” at the Oscars and confided in her that they were going to adopt another tax deduction from India. Pretty soon they’re going to have their own little United Nations, they could invade other countries and air-drop care packages. I’d sign up, how about you? Shoot, I’d be on that so fast, so would you, don’t lie. Baby Jesus cries when you lie about Papa Brad and Mama Angie. Remember, this is a safe place - you can crush on those two and their bajillion kids all you want without judgement. Well, there’ll be a LITTLE judgement - nobody’s perfect!
Suri, Shiloh, and Zahara - playdate!
March 12, 2009 by Wendy Boswell
Now this is kind of a cute piece of news. Apparently Katie Holmes invited Angelina Jolie over for tea and cupcakes - the girls, that is - Suri, Shiloh, and Zahara.
I think this could be super cute, don’t you? I love tea parties, except for the fact that I don’t really like tea. I do enjoy all the little pastries and sandwiches, etc. that go with a tea party, and the gossip, and that it’s all girls, so you can talk about girly things like cramps and pimples and how long your labor was and how that epidural JUST WASN’T WORKING.
But I think that a tea party with these ladies might be more interesting, don’t you think? The husband/live-in partner conversation fodder alone would be memorable. I mean, come on….how tempted would you be to ask Angie about Brad, and Katie about Tom? I’d love to be a fly on that wall. And yet, I wonder, really, what they are going to talk about. Katie’s film career hasn’t been that memorable (to say the least) and Angelina’s is basically on fiyah. FIYAH. Oh, well - Katie will always have this:
Brad and Angelina take the kids to The Little Mermaid on Broadway
February 27, 2009 by Wendy Boswell
Now, this sounds like a fun outing! Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie took the four older kiddos to see “The Little Mermaid” on Broadway yesterday. That’s Shiloh, 2, Zahara, 4, Pax, 5, and Maddox, 7. The twins, Vivienne and Knox, both seven months, sat this one out (I’ve taken babies and toddlers to the theater before. Not fun. Especially when they pee through their nappies on you, which has happened to me TWICE.).
Speaking of Angelina Jolie, she and Brad snubbed Ryan Seacrest yet again at the Oscars this past Sunday. This is turning into pretty much a regular event! I think basically they just don’t like the guy. Here’s the video:
What do you think - did Brad blow Ryan off? I think he was just in a hurry to get going, that’s all. Nob big deal. Angelina’s next project is called “Salt“, with Liev Schreiber, and it sounds pretty dang good: she plays a CIA agent who is fingered as a Russian spy, who must clear her name and find the real culprit. However, don’t plan on seeing Angie making too many movies all at once; she said today that she’s definitely got other priorities in mind:
“I’m ready to do a few things now and fade away and get ready to be a grandma one day,” she said. “So I’m not so worried that I want to keep this pace up and try to be a celebrity and a successful actress forever.”
Yep! I think she’s got her head on straight, don’t you?

Julia Roberts talks about marriage and kids
February 17, 2009 by Wendy Boswell
Julia Roberts is one of my favorite actresses of all time. I’ve watched everything she’s ever been in…..”Pretty Woman”, “Closer”, even the godawful “Hook” where she played Tinkerbell (that one was kind of embarrassing to watch, honestly).
In her new movie with Clive Owen called “Duplicity”, Julia plays one of a pair of corporate spies who share a steamy past hook up to pull off the ultimate con job on their respective bosses. Yes, Julia and Clive are teamed up again; apparently their steamy on-screen chemistry in “Closer” caught somebody’s eye. Here’s the trailer for “Duplicity”:
Looks good, huh? And just because I love you:
Uh huh. YUM! Okay, well, anyway, Julia Roberts is being featured in this month’s Allure, a magazine that I’ve stolen at least twice from my dentist’s office. In the interview, she talks about her kids and being married to Danny Moder. I liked this quote best:
The key to beauty is always to be looking at someone who loves you, really. One of my favorite things about my children right now, even Henry, who can’t say all the words…sometimes he’ll see me and go, “Ma-ma!” and throw himself on me. Or Finn says he likes my earrings. Or Hazel will say, “You look pretty, Mama,” first thing in the morning. And I realize, that’s all my husband. They’re seeing the things that he does and the way that he shares his feelings with me, and the way that I share my feelings with him. The coolest thing you can do for your children is to love each other in their presence.
Nice. And also, apparently George Clooney and Brad Pitt pranked her but good on the set of “Ocean’s 11″, slathering her door with shaving cream and then shoving two huge potted plants in front so she couldn’t get out. Those two boys!
While we’re on the subject of Julia, let’s watch a compilation of scenes from one of my favorite movies with her:
LOVE it! How about you, what’s your favorite Julia Roberts movie?

Okay, seeing these chubby widdle squishy babies almost makes me want to have another one. Don’t you want to just eat up that baby goodness? Ooh, my ovaries are literally jumping up and flipping around, it’s quite uncomfortable. I really need to stop now.

Brad and Angelina at the SAG awards - watch!
January 26, 2009 by Wendy Boswell
I never get tired of watching these two together! And speaking of, when are we going to get another movie with them?
Anyway, here’s what Angelina had to say about going to these shows with Brad:
“We’ve been doing it together for four years - it’s aways nice. I don’t think I’d want to be doing it alone. It’s nice to be doing it with your best friend … and have a laugh in the middle of the show.”
But Jolie wouldn’t answer a question about how Pitt has changed her. “It seems like a really odd moment for all of that. I’m sorry.”

Brad and Angelina at the French premiere of Benjamin Button
January 24, 2009 by Wendy Boswell
Awww, how cute! Here’s Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie at the French premiere of “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”. I was watching a PBS thingy last night with a discussion of this movie, and the host (can’t remember his name) said that Brad doesn’t have the ability to convey deep emotion and that he does best in shoot ‘em up films that don’t require a lot of skill. Harsh, huh? I’ve always thought that he was actually one of the better actors out there, even if he is a pretty boy. Here’s Brad and Angelina at the premiere:

Robert Downey Jr., Brad Pitt, Anne Hathaway, and others at the Oscar Roundtable
January 23, 2009 by Wendy Boswell
Newsweek has posted some fantastic videos from their Oscar Roundtable with Robert Downey Jr, Brad Pitt, Frank Langella, Anne Hathaway, Mickey Rourke, and Sally Hawkins. Every video is about five minutes long, but they are all well worth watching.
First, Langella, Pitt, and Downey:
Wanna see pics of Brad and Angelina’s new digs?
January 22, 2009 by Wendy Boswell
These pics are just general views of the 48-acre waterfront estate named Sassafras in the Lloyd Neck harbor region of Long Island’s North Shore. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will be renting the property through mid-summer while Angie shoots her next film “Edwin A. Salt.” The main house is 22,000 square feet, and the Tudor-inspired property boasts two helipads, a private dock, and an 11-bedroom staff house. The mansion has been on the market for an asking price of $60 million, which they probably could dig out of their couch cushions.
According to IMDBPro, “Edwin A. Salt’ is about a CIA officer who is fingered as a Russian sleeper spy. He eludes capture by superiors who are convinced he is out to assassinate the president. While trying to reunite with his family, he struggles to prove someone else is the traitor. Sounds pretty good! Should be out in 2010.
