Sarah Jessica Parker talks about the SATC sequel
September 19, 2008 by Wendy Boswell
So there might be a Sex and the City sequel, but so far, we’re not hearing much about it. Today’s quote from Sarah Jessica doesn’t do much to help, either:
“It’s all about the story. If we can’t tell a story that’s really worthy of an audience, then we won’t do it.
“We’ve been really lucky at this point,” she continued. “We’ve been in people’s good graces for a long time, and we take that very seriously. So that’s the biggest challenge, the story.”
And Cynthia Nixon had a couple words to say as well:
“I would love to see her and Carrie and Charlotte and Samantha all go off on some wild mad cap adventure somewhere,” she said.

I would love, LOVE to see a SATC sequel, but I don’t know how much more they could squeeze out of this, other than Carrie having a kid. What do you think?
Sex and the City prequel?
September 17, 2008 by Wendy Boswell
So I’m a huge fan of Sex and the City, but even I know when to call it when Candace Bushnell, the author of SATC, has jumped the shark BUT GOOD.
Apparently, she is hard at work writing the story of Carrie Bradshaw when she was in high school. Ugh. Gag me with a spoon. So will these lovely SATC teen thrillers be shelved right next door to Twilight and Harry Potter? Should we look for the stars of the inevitable SATC “The Teen Years” on Hannah Montana and iCarly?
There’s a line, Candace Bushnell, and you’ve managed to cross it.
Sex and the City movie has a RECORD weekend!

Happy Saturday, you lovely Snarkarinos! So, guess what I did last night? I went and saw the new Sex and the City movie, and judging from reports that I heard both at the theater and online, looks like SATC…..get this….is going to beat out Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull. Can you believe it? The theater I went to was almost sold out, and I heard other girls talking about how the theater in the next town was sold out until SUNDAY for SATC!!!!
I don’t want to give anything away, but let me tell you this: the movie was over two hours long, but seriously, I felt like I was sitting in the theater for maybe ten minutes. It was that good. I cried, I laughed, and honestly, I want to go and see it again. If you are a SATC fan (as I am!), then you need to go see this movie!!!!!!
Interview with Sarah Jessica Parker
May 16, 2008 by Wendy Boswell
If you’ve been reading this site for more than about, oh, five minutes, you’ll know that I’m kind of a huge Sex and the City freak. In fact, as I write this, I’m watching Season 6 of Sex and the City on DVD (I still will never get over Aidan, but I love me some Mr. Big). Obviously, with the new Sex and the City movie coming out soon, I’m completely coming unhinged because OMG SEX AND THE CITY ON THE BIG SCREEN SWEEEEEETTTT!!
Ahem. Anyway, I found this great interview with Sarah Jessica Parker (she plays Carrie Bradshaw) wherein she talks about Sex and the City, marriage to Matthew Broderick (he will always be known as Bueller to me), and a few other interesting little tidbits. Enjoy!
Here’s part 1:

You can live the Sex and the City life….for $24K
April 2, 2008 by Wendy Boswell
I would love to be one of the Sex and the City girls - except without all the gratuituous slutting around that they did. It’s amazing that they didn’t all drop dead of syphillis, don’t you think?
Anyway, now you too can live the life of a Sex and the City girl for only $24K. Apparently there’s a New York travel company that will whisk you around to buy Mahnolo Blahniks and go to trendy nightclubs and drink Cosmopolitans. Now don’t get me wrong, I love this show, but I wouldn’t pay $24k just so I could overextend my credit cards and get sloshed on bad cocktails!
No Sex and the City cover for Vogue?
March 10, 2008 by Wendy Boswell
I found this one hard to swallow; apparently, Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Noth are going to get their own Vogue cover, but the girls (Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis) won’t be on there because Vogue says “it’s a hard sell.” HELLO?!?!?!?! Have the staff of Vogue collectively lost their mind? Did they have one too many bulimic purges or have a brief moment in which their Dexies overwhelmed their thought processes?
Can you tell I’m miffed? Hmph.
Celebrity Quote of the Day: Chris Noth
November 13, 2007 by Wendy Boswell
When asked about his political views, Chris Noth had this to say:
“I don’t think there’s one Republican I’d ever vote for,” Noth, 53, told Usmagazine.com at the Rainforest Action Network’s celebration at The Plumm in NYC November 10. “In terms of their corruption and their insensitivity to what’s really needed in our society, they’re repugnant. There may be a few good ones out there, but I haven’t read of any.”
Wait, there’s more.
“Whenever you bring up the issue [of global warming] with them, they’re like, ‘Let’s wait and see what the facts are,’” Noth continued. “If we’re going to drill for oil, we should get on Crawford [Bush’s ranch in Texas] and put some oil wells there!
“I think this administration has been probably the biggest tragedy in the history of the United States.”
